KUALA LUMPUR: The SK Hulu Klang relief centre for Bukit Antarabangsa landslide evacuees will remain open until Friday even though it is empty.
Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said that if any evacuees needed to go to the relief centre after Friday, it would be immediately reopened.
“There are no victims staying at the centre now but food relief operations from the department still continues.
“We provide food not only to victims but to relief workers, volunteers, police officers and army personnel as well,” she told reporters after visiting the site in Bukit Antarabangsa here yesterday.
Earlier, she visited the relief centre.
Dr Ng said 13 families had used the relief centre since the disaster occurred a week ago.
She said most of them used it for a short stay of one or two nights before leaving to stay with relatives or friends.
